It was a cold night in December
When he got down on one knee
At the Royal British Legion
Right there on CCTV
He asked me if I'd marry him
I said yes but here's the thing
It's now two years later and
Andrew. where's my ring?
He didn't even ask me once
That cold December night
Because I thought he was joking
He went and asked me twice
I bet he's got it for Christmas
I thought to myself with glee
But when I woke on Christmas morning
There was no bloody ring for me!
Valentine's Day! That must be it
And everyone agreed
But instead of producing a ring
He got down on one knee
Again!
So now I'm waiting for two rings
But there's a twist ironically
His proposal during the summer means
I'm actually waiting for three
Lo and behold he did it again
On Halloween, its becoming a thing
Every holiday there's a proposal but
Andrew, where's the bloody ring.
People are asking questions now
How long has it been they say
Never mind, New Year's Eve is close
That's got to be the day.
New Year's Eve, the music's loud
He goes missing, where is he?
Then the dancers part. There he is!
Down again on one knee
Now I look to the future and wonder
Will he ever marry me
Or will he still be proposing
When I'm ninety three!
